Eirich Machines announced the addition of the OptimaDry microwave mixing and drying system to its product portfolio.

OptimaDry combines microwave technology (which provides accurate and controllable heating) and the company's fluidized mixing technology. This achieves uniform mixing while heating/drying the product very gently and effectively. Typical microwave heating can be 10 times faster than other heating methods.

The advantages of this technology include faster processing time, uniform heat distribution, and highly accurate temperature control.

OptimaDry is suitable for herbs, spices, powders, nutrients, chemicals and other products where heat sensitivity is a factor and must maintain aroma, color, nutrition or consistency.

"OptimaDry brings innovative and exciting solutions to the food, healthcare and chemical industries," said Matthias Erdmannsdoerfer, managing director of Eirich Machines. "This technology holds great opportunities, and Eirich Machines is proud to be part of the answer to the challenges faced by many manufacturers."

The OptimaDry unit has a working capacity of 1.5 to 400 cubic feet. The advanced microwave generator is a magnetron or solid state. They are modular, extensible and easy to maintain.
